"Sail across the frozen plains"

Without doubt, this is one of our most exciting activities, as you sail across a frozen river in Latvia....

Just feel the cool wind on your cheeks and through your hair as you speed across the ice in the beautiful Latvian countryside. Pure exhiliration!

...and once you have finished, you can thaw out in a Traditional Latvian Sauna before relaxing with an ice cool Vodka Shot and a Countryside BBQ.

Riga is home to the largest collection of Art Deco "Jugenstil" buildings in Europe

Riga is SO beautiful in the middle of winter!

Latvians sure know how to enjoy themselves.

WHAT WILL I DO?
09:00	Meet in Hotel Lobby for Private Transfer into the Latvian countryside.
10:00	Welcome Tea & Coffee with Instructor.
	Instruction & Demonstration
10:30	ICE SAILING BEGINS
	Mono and duplex yachts over the frozen River Daugava, Latvia's longest river.
12:00	ICE SAILING REGATTA
	You will be using the mono yachts for a series of point to point races.
	Heats Semi Final Final

As temperatures and wind will be cold, each sail will last 10-15 mins before changeover - it is not recommended to sail longer without a break
When not sailing you can keep warm by the fire in the Banqueting Hall or watch from outside with a steaming mug of Coffee to warm you up.

13:30-15:00:	THAW OUT & RELAX ..... Your LATVIAN SAUNA awaits!
	....and for those who are really brave, you can always cool off by rolling in the snow!
	Once you've finished the sauna. Vodka Shots and a BBQ await you
16:00:	Back at your hotel, and ready to enjoy a night out in Riga.

Note:

This activity may be cancelled by the supplier at short notice due to weather or ice conditions, in which case the following cancellations terms apply:

if cancelled more than 3 days before activity day, there is full refund less £15 p.p. admin charge
if cancelled 1-3 days before activity day, there is a 50% refund, and you will still have transfers, sauna, bbq & vodka.
if cancelled on the day due to inclement weather, there is no refund. You will still have transfers, sauna, bbq & vodka
