ABOUT LITHUANIAN RUGBY:

Womens Rugby in Kaunas

One of the strongest women’s rugby unions in Eastern Europe with 7 clubs. Almost all the rugby is Sevens.
Women's National VII regularly compete in International Tournaments and the Qualifiers for the World Cup – last year Lithuania lost to England by 40 points, however the records fail to point out that the Lithuanians had a 2 day bus journey, arriving at 5 a.m. on the morning of the game itself!
Men’s rugby is the strongest in the Baltics with 10 teams spread throughout the country, and regular winners of the Baltic Cup. The national side is similar standard to Level 5 team in UK, for example Richmond or London Scottish.
