SAILING IN THE BALTIC

Bavaria Yacht
Tallinn is fantastic for yachting.
It was even used as the venue for the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
With over 1,500 islands dotted along the Estonian Coastline, there is much to explore including the Soviet military island of Naissaar, the beautiful wilderness of Aegna or the "League of Gentlemen" style Prangli.
But dont' be fooled, the standard and quality here is 21st century state of the art using newly built Bavaria yachts and only the best skippers.
We'll take this as an opportunity to introduce you to great sailing waters on one of the following two packages:

Voyage: Olympic Waters

Itinerary: Bay of Tallinn &the Olympic Regatta Site.
Duration: 3 hours

Happy Sailors

Voyage: Island Adventurer
Itinerary: As above with island stops and more time to sail.
Duration: 6 hours

THE ISLANDS:
NAISSAAR: Simply a unique location. This uninhabited 19 sq.km island has remained untouched since Russian troops left in 1993. Military stronghold since Tsarist times and even now Soviet Bunkers, Barracks and a Mines Factory remain as remnants from the Cold War. you would have bee shot if you got within sight of this island, especially if you were Estonian.
Soviet Military Island of Naissaar

Map of the Islands
AEGNA: Historically an old Fisherman's island, previously favoured by the Soviet hierarchy for weekend breaks, now beloved by Tallinners for its beautiful and pure sandy shores. Also home to the Peter the Great Sea Fortress and Ancient Catacombs.

PRANGLI: Small and perfectly fored with sandy beaches, beautiful forests and a very "local" population - think, Estonia's "League of Gentlemen" but with sandy beaches instead of moors!

If you like an extended (2-5 day) yachting trip, this can easily be arranged.
This is very much a "hands on" experience, and you will be expected to help and act as a crew.
If so required, a local crew can be hired. Please contact us and we will send you details separately.
