Where:

Riga
Riga, the stunning capital of Latvia, and fast living up to its reputation as THE party city of Northern Europe.
This former Soviet capital has developed at an incredibly fast pace over the last decade and is now a sophisticated and fascinating modern city.
With its beautiful Old Town, its stunning Art Deco city centre, and our fantastic snow pitch, this is the place to be in February if you are a rugby player.

When:

Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th

February 2008

What about the Rugby:

The X's Tournament takes place on Saturday, at a beautiful snow covered stadium outside Riga
Champagne Rugby in the Snow
4-8 teams local and UK teams will battle it out in the snow for the right to be crowned the Baltic Snow Champions.
You will be playing in a proper stadium, so when you are not on the pitch, there is a Bar, Sauna, Cafe, Indoor and Stadium Seating, where you can relax

Important:

Snow Rugby is not a gimmick, we do play a proper social game of rugby and it is genuinely a fun and enjoyable tournament

The Latvians do their pre-season training in the snow and often play games at beginning or end of season in snow...

Latvia play Sweden in the snow
